A chance meeting to discover who the garment makers are in Scotland led us to visit Seahawk Apparel, Glenrothes, in Fife. We were invited in to see their impressive manufacturing operation and meet the 20 strong, skilled workforce. Our team led by Diane Richardson, Matthew Abbott and Sirin Wood (Meridien Apparel) was invited to work together for ‘the greater good’ and support a progressive plan to add premium apparel manufacturing to their roster of products working alongside the Seahawk Apparel team led by Rob Sayles.

We want to support apparel brands with a new onshore garment manufacturing opportunity. I feel incredibly proud to be back in Scotland after a long career in the industry and offer Made in Scotland garment manufacturing to sit alongside the talented knitting and weaving community.

Knowing the current state of the apparel industry and its’ supply chain issues, we believe this is the best time to offer onshore manufacturing to our industry friends. Our studio is based in the heart of Scotland, and we look forward to welcoming you in to use this as your base while doing business in Scotland.

It’s about bringing the community of maker, mill and design back to Scotland. We believe in the heritage and modern craftsmanship of this area.
