Going Primal & Charting New Courses
As world events have led to people to take a sharp stock and re- prioritise their lives, they are beginning to question the status quo as we all look to carve a new destiny defined by ourselves.
Streetwear continues to grow up, designers will explore more evocative references to inspire prints and graphics in the Autumn Winter 2021 and transitionally in Spring Summer 2022.
Expect to see a shift towards primitive markings, underpinned by a growing appreciation of traditional wisdom and craft. The fascination with ancient spirituality, star charts & navigations has evolved into a deeper engagement with traditional wisdom. Intuitive and indigenous solutions are blended with modern materials and technologies to create a thoughtful and sustainable message.
Taking inspiration from primitive symbolism, star charts & navigations that hold a hidden message. Embrace the anarchic style of scratchy doodles and illustrative motifs for an on-point DIY aesthetic, and use tonal browns, greens and light neutrals to link designs back to nature.
